AfricanMUA is an initiative of The MakeUp Fair Series (TMUFS), a beauty-industry ecosystem connecting beauty brands, professionals and consumers to markets, opportunities and one another.

Founded in 2012, TMUFS began with the first Makeup Fair in Abuja, created to bridge a gap in Nigeria's beauty industry by providing a dedicated B2B and B2C trade platform where beauty brands and professionals could connect directly with consumers, potential business partners and the wider beauty market.

Over the years, The MakeUp Fair Series has grown beyond the fairs into a broader beauty-industry ecosystem that helps beauty businesses increase visibility and sales, access new markets, expand their customer and distribution networks, build valuable industry connections, receive direct market feedback and identify new opportunities for sustainable growth.

Through its fairs, programmes, initiatives and industry platforms, TMUFS continues to connect beauty brands and professionals with the people, markets and opportunities they need to grow.

AfricanMUA is an extension of that vision — a dedicated digital platform created to increase the visibility and discoverability of makeup artists of African descent and connect their talent to opportunities across Africa and around the world.
