AfricanMUA is a professional discovery and connection platform. Makeup artists listed on the platform operate independently and are not employees, agents or representatives of AfricanMUA or The MakeUp Fair Series.
AfricanMUA does not guarantee or endorse an artist's services, availability, pricing or the outcome of any engagement. Users are responsible for conducting their own enquiries before entering into any booking, payment or other arrangement with an artist. Any engagement is between the user and the artist directly, subject to AfricanMUA's Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an African MUA profile or using any part of the platform you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
African MUA is a professional platform for makeup artists based in Africa or members of the African diaspora working internationally. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
3. Your Profile & Content
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for holding the rights to any images or media you upload. You retain ownership of your content. By uploading, you grant African MUA a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform for the purpose of showcasing your work.
4. Professional Conduct
You agree to represent yourself honestly, respect fellow artists and clients, and refrain from uploading content that is unlawful, misleading or that infringes on the rights of others.
5. Verification & Curation
African MUA is a curated platform. Profile approval, verification and featured placement are at our reasonable discretion, guided by the platform's professional standards.
6. Founding 500 Programme
Founding Artist status recognises the first 500 professional makeup artists to join. Recognition is permanent for as long as you remain an active member in good standing.
7. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or remove a profile that breaches these terms or the standards of our community. You may close your account at any time.
8. Disclaimer
The platform is provided on an "as is" basis. African MUA does not guarantee bookings, opportunities or specific outcomes from listing on the platform.
